This would come as a shock to many Nikon DeFocus Control fans. It appears that the Nikon AF DC-NIKKOR 105mm f/2D, one of the two Defocus control lenses currently being sold by Nikon, is to be discontinued. That is if you are to believe this amazon listing.
However, it could just be a one of thing as all the other major online retail stores appear to have plenty of stocks of this lens. Even this Amazon listing states more stocks are on the way. Could be a glitch, could be anything. Just in case you were planning to buy this lens for yourself for a while, now might be a good time. Just in case the lens actually turns out to be discontinued.
By the way, Nikon USA lists the lens to be “Temporarily out of Inventory”.
