Nikon has officially marked the D4S as discontinued. One look at the official Nikon Japan website and you will find the sports and action behemoth to be marked as such. The D4S was destined to be phased out, now that its successor, the D5, is already established in its position. It seems like only yesterday that we saw the launch of the D4S and a certain Chase Jarvis going ga-ga over it. It has been more than two years!
If you are planning to pick one up as your full-frame investment and take advantage of the price cut or looking for one just for the sake of collecting it, now’s the time to do it. Now with the Nikon D4S discontinued Adorama is already out of stock and not too many left with B&H either.
Farewell D4S!
